Wagoner High School history was made last weekend as Kendra Condict and Kieley Holladay placed fifth in the Class 4A state tennis championships-the highest finish ever at Wagoner for a #1 doubles team.
Only last year the girls were playing singles when coach Judy Penner decided to pair them up as the #2 doubles team late in the season and they went on to win regionals and place second at state before they moved into the #1 doubles spot this year.
“It was awesome to see the girls do so well,” said Penner. “They made history last year as the first number two doubles team and this year moving into the number one doubles spot was even more of a challenge because the competition in 4A was hard at the number one doubles spot so I’m so proud of the girls for their accomplishments these last two years.”
CONGRATULATIONS K&K
