Pending approval by the Wagoner Board of Education, Kimes Gilbert will assume duties as the new head football coach for the Bulldog program according to reports from the Wagoner County American-Tribune and the Tulsa World.
Gilbert replaces long-time coach and athletic director Dale Condict who was named the new head coach at Muskogee in December. Condict spent 20 years at the helm of Bulldog football where he won six state championships and helped oversee major facility improvements at Wagoner in the past few years.
Gilbert comes to Wagoner from Chisholm, a Class 2A school in western Oklahoma, where he posted a 13-19 record in three years as the head coach. Prior to that he was an assistant coach at Choctaw.
